Forensic Services
Forensic Evaluation Services serve courts, probation departments, and parole authorities who are in need of obtaining psychological based data and/or other mental health evaluation services for individuals and/or families who have criminal,domestic relations, juvenile, probate or civil litigation pending, or who are involved in the probation or parole system.
Forensic psychological evaluations are provided in the following judicial matters:
Competency to Stand Trial
Competency to understand rights and due process (Miranda Competency)
“Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity” (NGRI)
Various evaluations to assess for “Mitigation of Sentencing”
Various evaluations to assess for “Dangerousness” or “Risk” to self or thecommunity
Assess extent of personal injury in liability cases
Assess extent of psychological injury in “victims of crime compensation”cases
Child custody/companionship cases
Legal guardianship/ability to manage personal affairs in Probate Courtcases
Juvenile dependency, neglect, abuse, and dependency cases
Transfer of jurisdiction in juvenile criminal cases
